Every other running app starts from a route that already exists. RunFlex starts from the run you describe — a distance, a surface, whether it needs to be lit — and draws one to fit, on the streets and paths actually there.
Routes are drawn from open map data, so RunFlex works anywhere the streets are mapped. The towns above are the ones we have written about, not the ones it covers. Lighting is the part that varies: RunFlex reads the ways recorded as lit, and the ways recorded as unlit, in that same open map data, and how much has been recorded differs from city to city. Where nothing has been recorded it says so, rather than counting silence as lit.
Say the distance, the surface and whether it needs to be lit. RunFlex drafts it from your door and sends the one you pick to your watch. Free while it is being built.
