History, progress and streaks

Progress & streaks turns your run history into a weekly streak, your records and a few charts. Open it from Profile under Your running, or tap the chart icon at the top of the home screen.

How does the streak work?

You have a weekly goal, which is a number of runs. A week counts towards your streak once it has that many. The week you're in never breaks your streak while it's still going: until it ends, it is waiting, not missed.

The chip on the home screen shows where you stand, such as "week 3 · 1 to hold" or "week 3 · banked".

Where did my goal come from?

From the sign-up question "How many runs in a usual week?". RunFlex takes the low end of your answer, so "3-4" gives you a goal of 3. If you skipped it, your goal is 2 runs a week.

To change it, tap Goal at the top of Progress, or the This week row. Pick a number from 1 to 7 and save it. As the sheet says: "Your streak is counted against this goal, past weeks included, so changing it can change your streak."

What if I miss a week?

In the app's words, "one missed week in eight is forgiven". Once you have a streak going, one missed week keeps it alive but doesn't add a week to it. A second miss within eight weeks of the first ends the streak.

What counts?

What are records?

They sit under Records as stamps: Longest, Best pace and a Fastest stamp for each of 1K, 5K, 10K, half and marathon you've run.

A run counts for a distance if it's between 2% short of it and 10% over, so a 5.3 km run can be your fastest 5K. The stamp shows the time you recorded for that run. Best pace is your quickest average on any run over a mile (1.6 km if you use km).

When a run is a new best at a distance or your longest yet, the run note after it says so. It marks streak milestones too.

What's the weekly recap?

Once a week is over, the coach writes it up. It appears as a Last week line on the home screen. Tap it to read the full recap on Progress, or tap the cross to put it away for that week.

It's written once per week, so it won't change each time you look. A week with no runs gets no recap.
