RunFlex

Subscription and billing

RunFlex is free to try, and RunFlex Pro unlocks the rest. Pro is bought in the iPhone app through your Apple ID, and Apple handles all billing.

What do I get for free?

Three free routes. They are yours to draft and look at, and they are a one-off allowance, not a monthly one. This is how free and Pro compare in the app:

Well-lit routing is a preference, not a safety guarantee. Where lighting can't be confirmed, RunFlex says so.

Is there a limit on routes with Pro?

Pro is for your own running, and route planning is subject to fair use. Every route you plan, and every change to one, costs us money to draw, so we may pause planning for an account using it far beyond what one person needs. As a guide, that means more than 100 routes in a month, or an unusual number in one day. If you reach it, the app tells you when planning comes back, and everything else keeps working. The full wording is in section 7 of our Terms.

What plans are there, and what do they cost?

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy, and come from the App Store, so they can differ between the UK and the US.

How does the free trial work?

Monthly and annual both start with a 7-day free trial if you are a new subscriber. The button reads Start 7-day free trial. You get one trial per Apple ID, and if you've had one before the app won't offer another.

The trial terms are shown beside the button before you confirm. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your Apple ID is charged when it ends. After that it renews automatically every month or year until you cancel.

What does "lifetime" mean?

Founding Lifetime is not a subscription and never renews. It gives the account that bought it RunFlex Pro for the life of RunFlex, which our Terms define as for as long as we operate RunFlex and offer RunFlex Pro. It is not a promise that RunFlex will run for any set length of time, or for your lifetime, and the features in Pro may change. If we ever decide to close RunFlex, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before.

I've bought Pro but the app doesn't show it

Open Profile and tap Restore Purchases under RunFlex Pro. It's also on the Pro screen as Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought with. This also works for a lifetime purchase on a new device. If nothing is found, the app says "No RunFlex Pro purchase was found for this Apple ID."

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose RunFlex Pro. While you're subscribed, Manage subscription in RunFlex's Profile takes you to the same place.

Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your RunFlex account does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Apple processes all App Store refunds, so we can't issue them ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
