RunFlex
Saved routes and sharing
Saving a route keeps it in your account, so you can run it again or send it to a Garmin or COROS watch. This page also covers what you see when someone sends you a RunFlex route link.
How do I save a route?
Pick a route from the drafts deck, and on the screen with the Start run button, tap the bookmark. It fills in when the route is saved. If something goes wrong you'll see "Couldn't save route", and you can tap the bookmark again.
Where are my saved routes?
In Profile under Your running, tap Saved routes. The newest save comes first, and each row shows the route's name, its distance and how long ago you saved it.
How do I run a saved route again?
Tap it. It opens on the drafts deck, already selected, and you start it from there as you would any draft.
From Run history you can also open a past run and tap Run it again, while its route is still saved.
A few older saves didn't keep the route's line. These are greyed out and say "no map data", and they can't be opened or exported.
Can I rename or delete a saved route?
Not at the moment. The Saved routes screen has no rename or delete. Deleting your account removes all your saved routes and any shared route links along with it (see Your account and your data).
How do I share a route with a friend?
There isn't a share button on your own routes in the app at the moment. The way to hand a route over today is as a file: on Saved routes, tap the round watch button on the route, choose GPX file and send it however you like. A GPX file holds the whole route, start and finish included. More in Taking your runs elsewhere.
What happens when I open a RunFlex route link?
On an iPhone with RunFlex installed, the link opens the app and shows you the route.
Without the app, the page shows the route's name, distance and estimated time, and a button to get RunFlex. If you already have an account, tap Sign in to view the route and it opens once you're signed in.
Signed in, you see the route on a map with its distance, elevation and estimated time, the route's features and turn-by-turn directions. Tap Save to add it to your own saved routes, or Start Run to open it on the drafts deck and run it from there.
Does a link show where the route starts?
No. Every shared link hides the first and last 500 m of the route, whether or not the person who shared it saved a home address. The line on the map starts and finishes 500 m in, and any turns, stops and directions in those stretches are left out. The distance shown is still the full route's.
